The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute will host a fall bird count on Saturday, October 5, at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center. Grab your binoculars and join us at 8:30 for a morning of hiking and birdwatching.
“We’re starting to see some interesting migratory birds,” says Dr. Cathryn Hoyt, Director of Research at the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute. “The fall bird count is part of a long-term research project to learn more about bird migration through the area and to document the biodiversity of the Nature Center.”
Birdwatchers of all levels are welcome. The count will last until approximately 11:00 in the morning. For more information contact the CDRI at 432-364-2499, firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit our website at www.cdri.org .
