Gallego agrees to Alpine debate with Congressman Hurd

The Gallego for Congress Campaign today released a list of debates inn which Pete Gallego has currently agreed to participate in the race for Texas’ 23rd district. Gallego is eager to discuss the critical issues on the minds of the district’s residents with just one month to go until Election Day.

Congressman Will Hurd has thus far only agreed to participate in one televised debate with KSAT 12 News in San Antonio.

Following is a statement by Pete Gallego, former Congressman and current candidate for TX-23:

“Voters across this vast and diverse district deserve to listen to and participate in public conversations about the contrasts between Mr. Hurd and me and our priorities to better serve South and West Texas. Texans throughout the 23rd have real concerns about their economic security, the affordability of a college education, and the ever present threat to turn Medicare and Social Security into voucher programs.

“I challenge Congressman Hurd to quit dodging direct questions from voters and reporters and agree to more opportunities to allow our citizens to hear in person our views on these and many other critical challenges facing our families.”
