Landslide Victory For Cano, Valenzuela in Brewster County Judge and Justice of the Peace Run-Off

UPDATE 10:47 PM: According to Brewster County officials, Eleazar Cano won the Democratic runoff against Kathy Killingsworth 1033 to 462. Cano will face Republican candidate Jerry Johnson in the final election in November.

Cano defeated Killingsworth in all eight Brewster County Precincts. County-wide, Cano won 69.09% of votes with Killingsworth garnering 30.09% of votes.

Gilbert Valenzuela beat  IdaSotello 715 to 435 for Brewster County Democratic nomination for Justice of the Peace Pct.1. Valenzuela will face Republican Bob Steele.

 

From election night. UPDATE 8:34 KALP Radio in Alpine has called the Brewster County judge runoff  for the Democratic nomination for Cano.

At 8:22: The upbeat Cano supporters are increasing in numbers with about 35 awaiting final numbers.
