Alpine ISD issues statement on failed bond election

Voters in Alpine rejected a $29 million bond issue with 703 votes against and 642 in favor. The Alpine ISD issued this statement: Alpine ISD wishes to thank the voters for going to the polls and making their voices heard in the proposed bond election. We would also like to thank the citizens who gave up time with their friends and family to serve on the exploratory committee. We are very grateful for the many other individuals and students who participated in the planning process.

The Alpine ISD School Board will begin examining our options for what can be done going forward to address our infrastructure needs. The students will continue to come first and remain our priority. We hope that the Alpine community will continue to openly express their concerns. We are listening. As always, AISD will work hard to serve our incredible students and staff.
